Yesterday was another concrete day – new concrete poured in the main entry area and for the new 2nd floor balcony.

Now for a tour of the basement utility room:

our hot water heater, the gas regulators,

the main water line,

the sewer and drain pipes,

and I finally learned that this is the back flow preventer for the sprinkler system!

We had a planning meeting about the kiln room exhaust venting system, including a discussion of the gas and electric kilns, the gas kiln safety systems, the stainless steel exhaust vents, and the roof perforations.

Today’s big happening was the deconstruction of the scaffolding that was up in the clerestory. Now the monitor space is finished and wide open again. The building will be full of light and air!
