Here’s a lot of new photos – great progress everywhere!

The main hallway, 1st floor, looking to the rear of the building.

The metal fabricated railings for the 2nd floor atrium were just delivered.

Plastering has begun on the new proscenium wall.

Looking up the staircase to the 2nd floor, with the scaffolding up in the clerestory area above.

The pile of door jambs waiting to be installed.

The old rear exit door will be replaced with a new staircase and doorway.

The new closet on the 2nd floor, under the stairs.

Some exterior facade detail at the balcony extension.

Looking down one of the emergency exit staircases with the newly plastered walls.

The new glaze mix room is very spacious.

With the scaffolding still in place we were able to climb up into the clerestory to check out the new windows, plaster walls, cables, and light fixtures.

A close-up of the cable attachment.

Exterior view of the clerestory – they built a new box on the roof and put windows on all 4 sides.

View from the roof, looking west, of East Somerville and Winter Hill.

The new skylight is waiting to be installed at the rear of the building.

New bracing was installed along the sides and rear of the roof parapet.

Wow! I’m having a hard time picking my favorite image this week, but I think it might be those cables up in the clerestory. Metal railings are pretty cool, too. And how can you beat that VIEW?!
